Space installation & dance performance - a project with artist malatsion
Hors d’ici – a different place, away from here … a labyrinth of rooms, corridors, doors and stairs makes you think of secret places, awakening claustrophobic feelings. Visiting this fictional place, one experiences it in its very own way and can feel how emotional the relationship towards space can be. Being in a labyrinth can mean being well hidden and safe (Finding shelter at a different place, hors d’ici), but at the same time being trapped and searching to escape hors d’ici. The installation and especially the dance performance deal with the current topics of flight and shelter. They research the possibilities of movement and retreat that a labyrinth-like space division offers and allude to space as a mental construction, be it notional or real.
